Group Mind
Group Mind, used primarily in improvisation, is also known as collective intelligence or creative collaboration. In improv, people of different walks of life, levels of intelligence, genders, and height collaborate to create, in the moment, something compelling and beautiful. In my mind, it is an expression of God’s desire for the church always…a living, metaphor of a the work of the Spirit in and among God’s people. God designed the church to be one with one another, differing in opinions, strengths, and desires, but unified by Christ. The success of the church in the 21st century will be one primarily made up of people thinking and living in the same direction…on the same page in understanding about mission, adding their unique contributions to create something beautiful and compelling for the sake of the gospel.
